Balmain SS 18

Balmain has always been one of the fashion houses that I always loved. With watching the documentary of Olivier Rousting to understanding and being a part of his creative journey in those few minutes.

A critical element in my vision of Blamain has always been seeing black and gold harmoniously intwined in the garments. But the designer also accents it with the touch of red and blue along with the sequence embroidery.

What I loved about this collection is the use if the plastic fabric. (which I really don’t know what it’s called, let me know in the comments below.) The ingenious use of it to create jackets, pants is so intriguing.

This collection plays with both patterns but at the same time forms. This dress below is the perfect example.

But along with incorporation of new elements the collection has stayed true to its brand with signature Olivier braided dresses and net like designs, with badazzleing with sequence patterns.
